"The book belongs to the author."  Maxwell Perkins

Need a fresh pair of eyes?

We can provide you with a competent set of discerning eyes when your manuscript arrives at that critical state of completion, and edit your work without compromising your voice and style.

We provide the following services for your manuscript:

Proofreading: Checking the manuscript's spelling, punctuation, problems in technical quality such as misalignment, spacing and word division.

Copyediting: Checking for language, grammar and word usage, style. Query inconsistencies, fact checking. Though copyediting does not mean rewriting, it does entail eliminating run-on sentences (wordiness), checking the overall content for logic, and in some cases, polishing the language for clarity.

Developmental/Substantive/Line Editing: Restructuring of awkward sentences, redundancies; reorganizing text to create a better flow, checking for smooth transitions.

Critique: You can receive a professional opinion about what does or does not work in with your plot, its strengths and weaknesses, and how it can be improved. This also includes scene-setting and character building.

Fact Checking: Checking accuracy of facts and/or quotes by referencing original sources used by Author or to other reference sources.

We offer these services for the following types of manuscripts:

  • Full-length fiction novels
  • Single or multiple novel chapters
  • Short stories (individual or collections)
  • Poetry
  • Autobiographies and Journals

Manuscript editing can be done either electronically or hard copy using traditional copyeditor marks.

"An author's greatest fear is to appear, as a result of revision, less than brilliant. The good editor convinces authors that without revision their genius will be obscured."
  Arthur Plotnick
